Alexis Ducros was born and raised in the coastal country of Gabon, in west central Africa. He grew up fishing the coastal lagoons of West Africa for barracuda, jack, giant snapper and tarpon. Alex soon developed a reputation as one of the top saltwater fishermen in Gabon. Around this time, he began to develop a love for fly fishing in saltwater. Since then he has not looked back, and has been fly fishing exclusively for the last seven years.

Since moving to the islands of Guadeloupe, Alex has spent nearly every day on the water perfecting his fly fishing craft. He enjoys spending his free time snorkeling the flats and observing the bonefish, or tying his own fly patterns at his home in St. Francois.

He will show you his preferred fly patterns and most productive fishing spots around Guadeloupe. Whether you’d like to wade in the flats for bonefish and permit or take down your first tarpon on a fly rod, Alex will put you on the fish and give you many opportunities to catch your dream fish.
